About the Role

In this role, you are responsible to manage quality initiatives at the factory level through process monitoring, capability evaluations, performance reporting, benchmarking best practices and training of GIS and factory staff (Vendor Key Representative, Factory Key Representative and Designated auditor) for the assigned region/country. You will work with a clear objective of improving overall product quality as measured through final inspections, DC audits and In-market reports. You will lead a team of PQA resources and manage an extended geographical area with multiple factories and categories.

What You'll Do

  • Manage quality initiatives and factory quality performance to ensure quality standards and goals are met with consistently

  • Provide vendors/factories with the knowledge and resources to support multiple Brands/Categories in product development, risk management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA)/Corrective Action Plan (CAP) activities

  • Drive best practice usage and continuous improvement in quality through strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and factories & vendors

  • Monitor progress of ‘high risk’ products at factories

  • Investigate all Distribution Center audit escalations and reports on RCA/CAP activity at the factory

  • Leverage, authorize and monitor 3rd party inspections to improve quality performance at factories

  • Responsible for quality of services and advice in meeting business partner needs

Who You Are

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality assurance and/or factories preferably in a buying office with strong knowledge of factory operations and process; Formal qualifications in Textile / Garment / Footwear would be preferable

  • Understanding of concepts and procedures specific to manufacturing processes within the apparel on-apparel industry and specific knowledge for the respective category; Strong technical product skills

  • Proven success in managing and developing a strong PQA team and driving best in industry quality initiatives

  • Proven ability in presenting, influencing and making decisions cross functionally in a matrix environment while effectively managing multiple challenges

  • Ability to assess relatively complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions
