About the Role
Job Description Summary
In this role, you will partner with our business leaders and engineers to build and enhance software that powers our iconic brands of Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta. You will help define the product roadmap by working with other product management counterparts and leaders to understand upcoming capabilities to positively impact the customer experience. This role supports the Product Data Catalog Feeds, which is how our vendors, marketing/google, etc get our product data – from images, descriptions, copy, pricing, inventory, etc. This space is a data passthrough and therefore changes in this space occur with most ecom programs. We need a Product Manager I who can work with our Sr Product Manager in the US to understand the capabilities and then create stories, test cases, and manage JIRA and our sprints for our India team.
What You'll Do
Job Description
Work with your product management counterparts and leaders to understand upcoming capabilities and help to scope out the requirements
Write robust requirements in JIRA stories, prioritize the backlog, and work closely with the engineering teams to deliver and test quality software
Contribute to project plans and provide information for key stakeholder engagements
Build relationships with India and US product and engineering teams
Who You Are
Additional Job Description
This is an entry level Product role and we are open to a variety of experience backgrounds, but you should have one or more of the following – you have a background in software engineering and want to pivot to Product, you have worked in the Product Data Catalog space and this know the user or consumer needs, or you’re still new in your Product career and looking for a change
You should be a self-starter and proactive, and don’t need day to day direction
High attention to detail, collaborative, and can shift between priorities quickly
Instead of asking “what do you need me to do”, you’re a person who says “I’ve done this based on anticipating what is needed, let me know how/if it could be improved”
1-2 years in Software Product Management, Software Engineering, and/or apparel/ecom Data Catalog
