About the Role
This role is responsible for driving the internal and external communications for the Hyderabad Capability Center ensuring the consistent pull-through of global messaging and branding to protect and grow our global reputation. This office is home to employees in the fields of Tech Operations, Data Science, Product Management and Engineering. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic communications. You will develop a deep understanding of the business and leverage your understanding of industry trends to shape stories that convey the company’s priorities, values, and market position.

The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with great organizational skills, comfortable navigating in a matrix organization – a member of the global Corporate Communications team maintaining great stakeholder management.
What You'll Do
Build and execute the internal and external communications strategy for HDC rolling out the Gap Inc. content to ensure consistent pull-through of messaging and content
Support major meetings and internal events to ensure the consistent execution of the Gap Inc. brand and culture
Manage and maintain a variety of communications platforms to interact with employees
Collaborate with key business stakeholders (inc. the HDC office lead, People & Culture, etc.) to proactively seed stories that support HDC
Provide guidance and support to executive management for internal and external meetings
Identify high value speakers and/or events that will inspire and engage our teams
Ensures effective coordination with HQ teams on related communications and programs, including CSR, Foundation-related initiatives, etc.
Coordinate with Hyderabad BCP commander to send critical messaging on office policies to keep employees safe and healthy
Who You Are
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in corporate communications. Specific focus areas: employee communications, project management, cross functional engagement. (preferred experience at international/North American organizations)
Excellent written, verbal and advisory skills, including speechwriting experience; proven track record of delivering exceptional written work
Ability to execute complex campaigns, with demonstrated agility juggling multiple projects under deadline, optimizing resources and self-prioritizing work
A successful candidate is highly collaborative, inclusive, creative and flexible, with the ability to be discreet
Flexibility to work in situations where there is no unique, correct answer
Ability to collaborate and work well with others across timezones in fast-paced environment with remote supervision
Ability to drive cultural and/or change initiatives, and position a brand/company as a great place to work
Advanced use of digital communications tools including Microsoft Powerpoint, Word, Mailchimp
Bachelor’s degree or Master/MBA in journalism, English, communications or related field a plus
