About the Role

This position is responsible for managing Financial Margin/COS Spread and DC/Supply Chain expenses at Athleta as well as assisting in the close process. As an omni-channel brand with a single pool of inventory, this position holds unique visibility to many costs across our product lifecycle that impact the financial margin of the brand. This role provides an opportunity to develop a strong understanding of the complexities of moving units through an omni-channel business, provides broad exposure to multiple functions across the organization, assures compliance with rules required by GAAP, and plays a critical part in ensuring Athleta continues to grow profitably and sustainably. This position reports to the Manager of FP&A.

What You'll Do

⦁ Core responsibilities in these areas include budget, forecast and close processes with ability to drive results through strong collaboration with finance, production, logistics, and inventory business partners across Gap Inc.

⦁ COS Spread responsibilities include managing several line items that determine the financial margin of the brand. These range from Production expenses (Fabric Liability, Samples, Vendor Discounts/Recoveries, etc.) to Logistics expenses (Shipping, Packaging, Freight, Shrink, etc.) to Liquidation expenses (Sell-Off/Jobber, Damaged & Defective, etc.)

⦁ Supply Chain responsibilities include partnering with Global Supply Chain/Logistics teams to assist in forecasting variable and fixed costs incurred while operating Gap Inc. distribution centers and delivering products to our customer

⦁ Close responsibilities include coordination of required close deliverables, close connection with the Corporate Accounting team, and ability to articulate complex accounting to business partners in an easy to understand manner

⦁ Related areas of responsibility include supporting ad hoc initiatives, and managing Ship-From-Store (online orders fulfilled from a store) expense forecast

⦁ Support Manager with monthly FP&A deliverables including Forecast, Close, Budget and Ad Hoc analysis as needed

Who You Are

⦁ Ability to work within a lean team in a fast-paced environment that requires a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, flexibility, and commitment to deliver on deadlines

⦁ Ability to articulate financial and accounting concepts to non-finance business partners in a clear and concise manner

⦁ Strategic and analytical thinker that can navigate ambiguity, frame business issues from multiple perspectives and articulate complex situations in a simple way

⦁ Strong technical mindset with proven ability to create, learn, and manage financial forecasts and reports

⦁ Self-starter that anticipates problems, identifies opportunities, and provides creative solutions

⦁ Team player with a positive attitude - open to cross-training and sharing team responsibilities

⦁ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface with and influence all levels of management

⦁ Enthusiastic about working with emerging brands along with passion and energy to drive results

⦁ Minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance or related fields, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility

⦁ Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, MBA a plus

⦁ Experience with a large high growth consumer company a plus

⦁ eCommerce/Omnichannel or apparel experience a plus

⦁ Knowledge of Oracle financial systems and Essbase/Hyperion is a plus

Salary Range: $90,600 - $120,200 USD

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
